Don S. Shoemaker works from the early 1960´s

Here is one of Don´s favorite chair design from the early 1960’s. This chair is very unique, as it was part of his personal collection at his home in Santa Maria de Guido.

The wood used to produce this low chair was a tropical tree species extinct by now. The chair has beautiful carvings; Don liked very much to use carvings in many of his designs. Take a close look at the legs, as they are shaped in a very peculiar form.
