Wishbone Chair (CH24) by Hans J. Wegner (1949)

The Wishbone Chair, CH24 or ‘Y’ Chair was designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1949. It was the first and most important creation by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Son and it became instantly loved and cherished by people all over the world. The Wishbone or Y Chair acquired its name due to the ‘Y’ shaped back and with its measured use of materials is a light, sculptural dining chair which offers good back support and a comfortable sitting position. The philosophy of the Wishbone Chair is centered on the successful balance between form and function, it stands for quality, comfort and timeless Danish design. Made in Denmark by Carl Hansen & Son.
