Mesa Isoke designed by Hugo Franca (2007)

“Isoke” Console in pequi wood, designed by Hugo Franca, Brazil. Hugo Franca salvages old-growth pequi wood that has fallen or been burned and makes incredible furniture. The Brazilian designer carves stunningly elemental–and incredibly large-scale–furnishings from discarded Amazonian Indian canoes and fallen Pequi trees, some dating to 1,000 years old.
